Zao  - Liberate Te Ex Inferis (1999)

Liberate Te Ex Inferis, though no Where Blood And Fire Bring Rest, hits like a ton of bricks. Lyricaly, this album moves more from very spiritual and powerfully written words, to a more dark and "human" if you will, experience with life and all the troubles that come along with it. Musically, I think this album moved away from the amount of diversity of WBAFBR and moved into a more of a cubicle of the same tone throughout the cd. The music is still very well written but it is lacking the passion of B & F. All in all i think this album is ok. It could have been better, BUT I think they rushed through it. I thought I heard they did it in only less than a week. That didn't give them a lot of time to improvise or try any cool sounding stuff. They're next album though, they will take, I believe, 3 months to lay it down. -- Review by ToolToScream and Haunted Whysper
