Shadow Gallery - Tyranny (1999)
While this band is not marketed as a "Christian" band, the members are Christians and the lyrical content is positive and safe for Christian consumption. Many songs this band have done in their career have a "spiritual" focus and one can easily tell where these guys are coming from as their faith tends to shine through in their lyrics. Shadow Gallery is one of the United States most highly acclaimed progressive metal bands. With musical similarities to bands like Dream Theater and guest vocals by artists such as DC Cooper and James Labrie (Dream Theater) one can not go wrong on this purchase! The music, although very complex and progressive, is quite accessible and has big harmonies (ala Kings X), great melodies, and catchy choruses throughout. The musicianship is above par and the production is flawless. I highly recommend this to all fans of power and prog metal. – Review by Norm
