P.O.D. - Brown (1996)
The boys are back on "Brown" with some more cutting edge and experimental sounds. This time around the vocals have been distorted ala industrial (which I personally don't like a lot). The music is still slammin rapcore but with some interesting tracks mixed in. For example they do an all reggae track, full blow punk song and also add a lot of funk, jazz fusion stuff but the hardcore, metal and rap elements are still dominant. I think the thing that makes this cd stand out in my mind is that the lyrics are the deepest (and most bold) of any P.OD. disc. -- Review by Norm
