Paramaecium - Within the Ancient Forest (1996)
Paramaecium goes deep into the world of doom metal with excruciatingly slow passages, female vocals and more mournful sounding instruments such as violins, flute and cellos. The vocals are still death except for a few select "clean" vocal lines and the female vocals. Lyrically this is an allegorical story (based upon a book by Andrew Tompkins) that takes the listener through one mans search for truth. -- Review by Norm
