Paramaecium - A Time To Mourn (1999)
After a 3 year wait Paramaecium is back and just as doomy as ever! There is however some very evident changes on this disc. The only original member of the line-up is Andrew Tompkins and he is now using far more clear/clean vocals (which sound great, I might add!). Ian Arkley (guitarist for Ashen Mortality) has now joined forces with Tompkins and the result is a more accessible sound but nonetheless heavy. Female vocals and various string instruments are used once again to give this disc variety and atmosphere. The lyrics are more vague and abstract than before leaving the listener open to many interpretations.
