Justifide – Life Outside the Toybox (2001)
There is a vast array of influences evident on this disc as one song will remind me of Creed and then the next will sound similar to P.O.D. and then the next will be like Staind. It is an amalgamation of styles. For a comparison I think the closest and fairest one would be to recommend this to fans of Sevendust and P.O.D. The production is excellent and the sound is big. The guitar lines are heavy and thick with a lot of modern rock distortion. Hardcore elements meet in the mix to give this a heavy sound. Most songs have the emotional "rappish" verses to be followed by "sung" choruses. A very good effort from a "nu-metal" style band. – Review by Norm
