Impellitteri - Screaming Symphony (1996)
Impellitteri is by far one of the finer artists to perform classic power metal in the entire realm of Christian music. Vocalist Rob Rock and guitarist Chris Impellitteri have been doing this since the mid-eighties and only seem to get better and better. The music is sharp, tight and powerful. The chorus's are big sing-along style without the cheese! This is some serious metal folks! Chris plays guitar in the vein of Yngwie Malmsteen with lightning fast leads, killer infectious riffs, solos, runs and a deep affection for the classical composers of days long gone. Rob has one of the most powerful voices in all of metal and the absolute brilliance of his work can not be put into words. If you are a fan of bands like Stratovarius, Narnia, Malmsteen or any other guitar virtuoso's (or powerful vocalists like Ronnie James Dio) then you must get this cd! -- Review by Norm
