Eternal Decision - Ghost in the Machine (1999)
This is impressive! Eternal D is back and better than ever! The new CD has a lot more originality than thier debut and the sound has changed for the better, in my opinion. "Ghost..." really shows some maturity with the addition of some "aggro" styles and "core" sounds similar to that of bands like Fear Factory. They have also added a second vocalist, Dave Perkins, who also handles vocals for the band Awake. The best thing about the new sound is that all the songs sound independent from one another. Heavy crunch guitars and a lot more melody than before. There is even a ballad on this one! And not to be missed is the sonic experimentation they do with industrial on the track "Alien". A couple of the songs have melodic choruses that sound similar to the stuff that Eoi is doing. All in all it's worth your 12 bucks. -- Review by Norm
