Bride - Live to Die (1988)

When I first got into Christian metal this was one of the first cd's I bought. This will forever remain a classic. Bride was known in the 80's for their glam/power/classic metal style (as mentioned in the above reviews) and when it came time for a change these guys did it in a way that only Bride could. When I first heard this cd, with it's apparent Guns 'n' Roses influences, I was completely blown away! This disc absolutely blew away "Appetite for Destruction". Songs like "Rattlesnake" and "Would you Die for Me" were destined to become Christian metal anthems and classics, and that they did. They sincere blues feel that Troy thompson approaches his guitar playing with and the harsh emotion emitted from brother Dale Thompson's voice are still unrivaled today in the genre of pure and simple hard rock. This is about the best it gets. If you don't own this cd, you should. -- Review by Norm
